Error: This component cannot be made visible. It is in an excluded reference set

Issue : 

While loading a component in a sub-assembly, the component would not load, but show an error message with a title show component, The error message would be "This component cannot be made visible. It is in an excluded reference set"

Solution for Excluded reference set error:

• In Assembly navigator, find out the parent assembly for which the component fails to load. 
• Right Click you mouse button on the Assembly name you have selected now, and set Replace reference set → Entire Part.
• By default, Reference set would be set as Model. Now, once you change the settings into Entire part, the component will load automatically.

Issue Description :

This issue will happen when reference set option is misused. The purpose of reference set option is to control the visibility of geometric entities within a component.We should not use reference set to control the visibility of entire components inside a assembly.

It will result in loading issues, when some other top parent assembly use your assembly as a sub assembly. It is better to avoid using options like Reference set, layers in NX. Instead , practice to use Arrangements in assembly, and view independent edit in Drafting applications.

Dish TV DTH: Channels Skip in the list | Only Few HD channels coming in Dish TV

Problem : Only few channels or Only HD channels appear in Dish TV and other channels are not coming and the channel numbers will skip while pressing up down button in dish tv remote control or set top box.



Solution 1 : In your dish tv remote, press Guide button. Now a list of channel list will appear in the TV screen.
On the top left corner, if it is displayed as HD channels or other name, then press guide button again until the name changes to All Channels.

Solution 2: Switch of the set top box and restart it again, so that your program guide will load newly. Most probably, you will get all channels , once you reloaded the program guide by this restart method.

Nowadays, to encourage the users to use online cloud storage, the mobile apps like Gmail, Adobe and Inbox remove the option like Save, Download etc and added Cloud storage option.

Sometimes , this is annoying if we really need the file in local storage, for offline viewing purpose.
Anyway, we can still save the attachment files for offline uses, using cache storage.

To save attachment file in local Internal storage in Android :

1. Open inbox app
2. Ensure you have installed Adobe Acrobat Reader as pdf viewer
3. Now, if you open the pdf attachment, the pdf file will be opened using Adobe reader
4. Now tap on menu button → Settings → Document cloud Cache location
5. Set Internal Storage
6. Now open your File Browser → Internal Storage → Acrobat reader folder
7. Hurray, Now you can find the pdf file saved in your local internal storage.
8. For safety, save this in some other place as using copy → paste option. Because, the file in this folder may clear automatically as it is a temporary cache location.

NX UG : Null Tag Not Allowed Error and Solution

Error : Null tag not allowed

 

Application : In NX Drafting most of the times and in NX Modeling rarely.

Possible Reasons and solution :

1.When you try to add a component to a Assembly, while you are in Drafting application mode, you may receive the error : Null tag not allowed.
And the solution is to switch to Modeling application and add the component to Assembly and come back to drafting mode to carry out your work.

2.When you try to update or load a detail view that is linked with a part , that has complex / corrupted features, then the drawing view will fail to update and you will receive the error :Null tag not allowed. Error recovery completed.
The solution is to clean up the part and try updating. If you receive this error in a assembly drawing, then you can easily find out the corrupted component by unloading half of the components one time and rest at next time. Follow this till you find the corrupted part.
Then clean up the specific part.

3.When you try to do command operations like intersect, extend, trim etc on a complex spline curve, then you may receive the error": Null tag not allowed.
Solution is to simplify the complex spline into simple curve , before performing such operations. Sometimes, this solution is applicable to the error nx : null pointer supplied to routing.

4.Sometimes,we couldn't even guess the root cause of this null tag error.In such cases, it is better to save a copy of the part file , before experimenting different options, so that your work will be stay safe.

NX Siemens : To Set or Change Automatic Save Changes Reminder in NX

Automatic Save Changes reminder for NX

While working in NX software, if the modified CAD data or any Drawings is not saved by the user for a certain period of time, then
the Save Changes Reminder command will display a pop-up message, asking the user to save the data.

To Enable or Change the duration of Save Changes Reminder :

1. Go to File → Utilities → Customer Defaults. Now "Customer Defaults"  dialog window box opens.
2. Select General tab in "Gateway" list in the left  side of the window box
3. Now you can see a slide-bar option for save changes reminder under part tab.(Scroll down to see this slide bar)
4. Move the slide bar in the "Interval for Save Changes Reminder"
5. Select OK in the "Customer Defaults" dialog box.
6. Now a message will appear that this setting will reflect from next session. Means that you have to restart NX for making use of this option.
7. Select OK in the "Customer Defaults" message box.

Continuity | Types of Continuity : G0, G1, G2 Conitnuity

Continuity :

While creating smooth surfaces, the parameter continuity should be defined. Continuity is to ensure the smoothness of the curves and surfaces. It plays a main role while creating A class smooth surfaces which requires perfect , aerodynamic finishing.



When we create curve points and define continuity, the CAD software displays a set of constraint symbols at each point namely G0, G1, G2 Continuity. Smooth Studio Spline curves and surfaces can be designed in all CAD softwares including CATIA, NX, Solidworks, Autocad, Pro-E etc.

G0 continuity

•  G0 means the two objects are connected, or are position continuous.

G1 continuity

• G1 means they are smoothly connected up to one differentiation, or are tangency continuous.

G2 continuity

• G2 means they are smoothly connected by up to two differentiations, or are curvature continuous.

Points to keep in mind while working with continuity parameter.

•     Any Curve on Surface point can have a G0 constraint to any object that is supported by Snap Point options, and that is within the Modeling Distance Tolerance of the target face.
•     Curve on Surface start or end points can have G1 or G2 constraints to any curve, edge, or surface that is within the Modeling Angle Tolerance of the tangent plane of the point.
•     The software cannot guarantee G2 continuity in all circumstances.We cannot add points beyond a start or end point that has a G1 or G2 constraint.
•     Points on a closed Curve on Surface spline can have only G0 constraints

Contact Delhivery customer care support , customer.service@delhivery.com through email as soon as possible, and request for the proof of delivery. Within a day, you will be sent the scanned copy of the proof , where the person who received , signed with his name and contact number,
You can track with those contact information and signature, to whom the product is handed over.

Note: 
The customers who had faced this issue never got their product back nor the refund money. So, it is better to avoid such situations by communicating clear information , to whom the product is delivered if you are not at home.

Automatic Screen Orientation Change :

Nowadays, all the Android Smartphones come with inbuilt motion sensor. If you change the orientation of your smartphone from portrait to landscape position (Vertical to horizontal positions)
the motion sensor will automatically detect the orientation change and rotate the screen to landscape view.

To stop Orientation Change in Android Smartphones :

1. Go to Notification Bar
2. Click Menu Button at the top corner. (In some phones, it is optional)
3. Now a set of quick settings will be displayed.
4. Look for Auto Rotation settings.
5. If it is enabled, disable the settings.
6. Hereafter, the screen orientation will not change until you come back and enable this setting.

Note: Some apps like VLC and some games have special settings which manipulate over this basic settings. So, you have to disable separately for some specific apps, to stop orientation change.

The mobile networks usally sends advertisement links through SMS called WAP Push Messages.

To stop receiving such advertisement links contain wap push SMS, you can follow two methods.

1. Go to Messages

6. G-mail, Email, Inbox apps :Use any one email app, Unnecessary syncing of multiple email apps will consume more data.
