Missed call alerts in Aircel : Activate or Deactivate

If you are in not reachable location or if your phone is switched off condition, you can get missed call alerts through SMS from Aircel once you get back the signal coverage area or switch on your mobile phone.
Aircel call this facility as Missed call Alerts. This article describes how to activate , deactivate the service through USSD code method.

To Activate missed call Alerts in Aircel:

1. From your Aircel mobile number dial *999#
2. An option  1.Missed call Alert will be displayed
3. Now press 1 in the box and press OK
4. Now you will receive two options , 1.Activate 2.Deactivate
5. Type 1 in the box to activate missed call alert and press OK
6. Again you have to type 1 to confirm your option.

The missed call alerts costs Rs 30 per month. You can deactivate missed call alerts on Aircel whenever you want.

To deactivate missed call Alerts in Aircel

1. Dial *999# from your Aircel mobile number and select Missed call alert. 
2. Now press 2 in the box to deactivate the missed call service.

You can also deactivate through computer voice facility by dialing 155223 (toll free number)

Display Zero After , Before dimension Value in UG NX Drafting

Display Zero after , before dimension Value in UG NX Drafting :

In UG NX Drafting, even if we set to display the decimal places for dimensions, it wont display the trailing zeroes if the dimension is exactly like 14.500 , 20.30 etc.

At such case, we need to enable one additional settings to make visible the trailing zeroes.

This article helps you , how to easily show the zeroes after and before decimal places.

1. Select the dimension . Right click , Go to Style
2. In dimension tab, precision and tolerance section, choose the number of decimal places you want to display. (example : 3)
3. In Units tab, Under There will be a title called Zeros display with three options. Enable Trailing Zeros - Dimensions and Tolerances, Leading zeros-Dimensions , Tolerances. You can disable any of the three if you don't need it.
4. Press OK

Now the dimension will be displayed with zeros before and after the dimension values.
If you want to make all the dimensions with similar appearance, you can use inherit option for easy and quick process.

Note :
For changing the trailing zeroes in tolerance , you have to choose any format which contain tolerance values. This can be done in Dimension tab - precision and tolerance section.

Inherit Properties in NX Drafting | Edit note text on NX

Inherit properties in NX Drafting

While working in  NX Drafting, we will face some situation to copy the attributes of one annotation or dimension to one or more other same kind of annotations or dimensions.

To Edit Note Text on NX Drafting, just right click the note → Choose Edit → Modify your note → Click OK.

You can inherit the text or properties from other notes.

For example, If you created three views in the drawing. In one view, you have chosen settings like Non-Associative,Visible lines as thin,Inherit clipping boundary etc.
Now if you want to set other two views with same settings Quickly.

• All you need to do is just select the other two views, Go to Edit - Style , 
• Now you can see an option called Inherit all in the bottom of the form.
• Click that option and choose the parent view you want to inherit the properties.
• Now give OK.

We are done. The properties all inherited to other two views.



You can use this inherit option in following cases in UG NX Drafting.

Inherit the properties of a Text note like font style, font size, line space , arrow types, width etx
We can Inherit the properties of dimensions like decimal places, font size, other arrow related attributes and text related attributes etc.

Note:

• There is one bug in UG NX 7.5 Drafting. If we create balloon dimensions like circular or rectangular all over the drawing, we can't modify into other shapes. 
• We have to delete all the dimensions and recreate it. Inherit option will not be applicable in such cases.In future , this bug may be rectified.

Redeem Debit card points in Standard Chartered Bank (SCB)

Standard Chartered provides Bonus points for money spent through Debit cards as well as credit cards. You can redeem rewards through 360reward plus portal only for Credit card points by using online banking user id password.

Debit card points cannot be redeemed through online. You have to redeem it through phone banking .


To redeem reward points in scb debit card:

1. Take your debit card in your hand. In the back side of the card, the phone banking numbers will be provided.
2. Call Standard Chartered Phone Banking number corresponding to your region.
3. You have to choose some options like language, your debit card number, phone banking pin , ATM Pin etc step by step
4. Finally you will hear the option to speak to the customer care executive of standard chartered bank.
5. Once they pick the call, request him/her to redeem the Debit card points
6. They will check the remaining bonus points available in your account. If it is more than 500 points, they will initiate the request to redeem.
7. Within 2 to 3 working days , the amount will be credited into your standard chartered savings account.

Note:

• If you redeem at the financial year end, you will get maximum benefit.
• You have to earn minimum 500 points to redeem them
• Do not try to request through email, SMS or through online banking mail option. You will not get a proper response.

To send, copy exe files Via email , communicator, Skype

Some security settings in Windows and other third party softwares will not allow you to share exe files like copying them in the disk .

Basically this is for a good purpose to avoid Virus or Malware attack. But , sometime we know that the exe files we have is trusted , even though the security settings prevent to copy the exe files.

This same scenario is applicable for Microsoft office communicator like software, outlook, Gmail etc..

So, here is the easy technique to copy / share exe files through email, file sharing software etc.

1. Change the extension of the exe files into some other document extension like pdf . For example, if the application name is soundrecorder.exe , just rename it into soundrecorder.pdf
2. Now you can attach this file in email or copy it in your computer or wherever you want. The security setting will think that it is an pdf file and allow you to copy or share it.
3. Once you copied the file , change back the file extension into exe by the same technique and you can open it or run it as usual

Note:

• Use this technique only if you are sure that the exe file is from trusted source.

NX UG: To Create / Delete Baseline in Teamcenter NX | Baseline Assembly in teamcenter

What is Baseline in Teamcenter NX:

Baseline is the read only version of a CAD dataset that you are storing in Teamcenter. We can call it as a milestone version of the CAD data.

For example, if you are continuously modifying a CAD data and you have to create check points at certain shapes for future reference , then you can use this Baseline option.

How to create Baseline

1. Once you create the data in NX software that is linked with teamcenter, save it and close it.
2. Now go to teamcenter
3. Right click on the data set you have created and choose Create Baseline.
4. Now a small Form like window will be opened. 
5. Choose Working snapshot in Baseline type. Leave the remaining settings as it is.
6. Press Finish or OK.

Now you can see a baseline version created in below the open revision of the data sets.
You can create as many Baseline versions as you needed.

Note that Baseline versions are only read only , they cannot be modified. But can be used for Approving the CAD , sharing the CAD to other users etc.

To Delete Baseline in Teamcenter NX

• Baselines created once cannot be deleted by the normal user.
• You have to need admin rights for deleting baseline revisions. If you really wanted to delete Baselines, then you have to approach the Teamcenter management team to delete them.
