How to remove a specific search word from Google Search Engine

When you are signed in a google account and using google search, then each keyword that you are searching in the Google search bar will be saved irrespective of the browser you browse, device you use.

So, after few days , if you type the first few letters of the keyword, the same search sentence will appear as suggestion.

If you don't want them to appear so, then follow the procedure
  1. Open Google.com
  2. In the search bar, type the first few letters of the keyword that you want to remove.
  3. The Keyword will appear now followed by some other auto suggested search terms.
  4. Now, on the right side of the keyword suggestion, you can find the option called 'Remove'
  5. Click the Remove icon to remove the word from the Google search engine and also from your Google web history.


In future, if you don't want to store the search words, then do any one of the following.
  • Browse in incognito tab.
  • Sign-out from your google account, before you start searching sensitive words.
  • Go to google account settings → control my web activity and disable Web & App activity
