“3 for free” is an add-on that allows you to make free voice calls to 3 specified VIVA numbers of your choice.

VIVA customers can activate the "3 for free" or 100 fils add-on by sending ON to 88823 or dialing *88823#

To activate 100 fils add-on (3 for free add on)  pack on VIVA, send an sms ON to 88823 or dial the USSD code *88823#

To know the numbers added in three for free add on in VIVA, send an sms TFF to 88823

To change the number in 3 for free add on list, dial the USSD code *88823*oldnumber*newnumber#



To add a new number in 3 for free add on list in VIVA, dial the USSD code dial *88823*33xxxxxx# where xxxxxxxx is the mobile number you need to add in th list.

You can add a number or modify number once per month for free. Addition changes costs 200 fills per each change.

To deactivate 3 for free scheme, send an sms OFF to 88823 from your VIVA mobile number

Connection problem or invalid MMI code 

Sometimes if you dial an USSD code in your Android smartphone, to check talk-time balance, internet balance or validity , you may end up with an error "Connection problem or Invalid MMI code"


What is MMI code

MMI code stands for Man Machine Interaction or Man Machine Interface code. Usually it would be a numeric code starts with * and ends with #  that looks like *123#  or *123*11# that gets the response with the network server and display the information in users screen.

So, in-order to solve the issue , you have to check following things to solve the issue.

  1. Ensure that you have signal coverage for your network. If not, get in to a good signal coverage area and dial the ussd code again. 
  2. Ensure that the USSD code that you have dialed is a valid one and applicable for your network provider. You can check this by calling to your customer care executive or by just cross checking with the official website of your networks provider.

If your JIO sim activation is getting delayed, then immediately go to any Reliance Show room which has Biometric Fingerprint facility. Give your Aadhar card photocopy, and they will take your fingerprint proof. Your jio sim will be activated within 3 hours.

Jio- the new entry to the competitive telecom market offers free JIO SIM for those who buys LYF mobiles and Samsung 4G mobiles.
Since the network provider offers 3 months unlimited free 4G internet, many people are eagerly buying the low-cost LYF mobiles in-spite of the lack of features in-order to get the JIO sim.



But many people after buying the phone with SIM complaint that the SIM activation process is delaying very much. Usually the other network operators take only 4 hours to activate the SIM.
Most of the users experiences delay up-to 10 days in the activation of Jio SIM card.

Why there is delay in the JIO SIM activation process?


The main reason is , if you buy the SIM in dealer shops like Univercell, Poorvika, or some other local mobile sales shops they keep the application forms with them for one week and send them at week end.
So, if you want to get your JIO SIM activated quickly within one day, you have to buy the SIM in Reliance show room or Reliance shops or JIO showrooms. Avoid buying it in other dealer shops.

If you already bought the SIM in other dealer shops and if it is getting delayed for activation, then the only option is to push them to activate quickly by calling or visiting them often until it gets activated.

The second reason for the delay is they follow some digital scanning process of the application forms that is little complex and rejects some application forms if the address is very small or similar silly processes.


Since the company is in initial phase, they did not build a good customer care support yet. They are not responding for the emails sent to Customer care , at present.
Getting the line for their toll free number is like winning a lottery which one lakh people participates.

Hope the service of JIO will improve once they officially launched into the market and a new entry like JIO is needed at this time for India to make the mobile internet price as affordable.
