There might be two reasons that cause this error.
When you start NX for first time, a pop up dialog will appear to request permission to communicate with license server.
You can check the connection status using the following command in CMD prompt.
"%UGII_BASE_DIR%\ugflexlm\lmutil" lmstat -i -c %UGS_LICENSE_SERVER%
If the connection works, then the command prompt will list out all the NX modules that you are installed and their available licenses
- License server may not be working
- Your windows firewall settings may block the communication.
