NX Unigraphics: How to change units in NX 7.5 and NX 8.5

Units in Unigraphics NX 7.5 , NX 8.5 :

In NX 7.5 and above UG we can set different sets of units , that are all ready available by default.



Based on the requirements , we can change the list of available unit system for Information and Analysis results and Design-logic application.
The default unit systems available ready-made are

• lbm-in, (Pounds-Inches)
• lbm-ft,(Pounds-feet)
• g-mm, )gram-millimeter)
• g-cm, (gram-centimeter)
• kg-m, (kilogram-meter)
• kg-mm (kilogram-millimeter)

Apart from this you can also set custom unit system.

 

To set or Change Unit system in NX 7.5 and above:

1. Go to Analysis option in the Menu bar
2. Select Units
3. From the list of available units systems, select the appropriate unit for your study.

To set custom unit system
Go to Analysis → Units → Custom. which sets custom units which are defined in the Units manager, for Information and analysis results and Design-logic.

You can also use Units converter option available under Units tab, to convert units from one system to another .

Solved : NX Alert The curve is part of the sketch constraint system; the edit result might not be as expected.

Application :  NX UG - Modeling - Sketching mode.

Severity : Low

 

Description : 

In UG NX , In sketch mode, while working with curves, usually the curves will automatically constrain once you have drawn it. Sometime, when you try to edit the curve, you have been receiving an warning/ alert message stating that
the curves couldn't be edited because of constrains.

Solution : 

1. Right click on the curve you have to edit.
2. Select Remove all Constraint option . 
3. Now Edit the curve as per your requirement
4. Re-constrain it again if it is needed.

Android : Dictionary update information | To stop download notification

Notification : Dictionary update information

Description: 
If there is an update found in your phone's dictionary that is associated with Android keyboard or Google Keyboard, then the download manager will automatically start updating the information , if you are connected to WiFi.
But if you don't have WiFi, whenever you turn on mobile data then this notification will keep on running in your notification bar, . But download will not happen until you connect with Wi-fi.

To Stop Dictionary update information notification :

1. Connect your mobile to Wifi internet data.
2. Go to Settings → Language and Input
3. In keyboard and input methods, choose the keyboard installed in your phone. (Tap on the options button available right to the Keyboard name)
4. Tap on Text correction
5. Select Add-on dictionaries
6. Now you can see some languages that are Installed, Available status
7. Apart from English and Your mother tongue, uninstall all the installed languages. (This step is optional )
8. Now tap on Refresh
9. Again tap on refresh
10. Now the update will be completed shortly and you wont receive the Dictionary Update Information , notification.

As a temporary solution, if you don't have Wi-fi network access, then Long press on the notification and tap on App info
Select Force stop to close the Android Download Manager App , Tap on Clear data and Clear cache option and press OK.

Setar NV : Get PUK code | Reset PIN number | Unlock Phone Online Helpline Method

The default PIN Number for all Setar Mobile Prepaid and Postpaid mobile SIM card is unique for each mobile SIM

Setar Mobile is the major telecom network which offers high speed data connection to Aruba customers  through Wireless. Land line, Prepaid and postpaid plans.

The Setar Mobile SIM card has an inbuilt PIN code and PUK code for security purpose. The SIM card will be blocked if you enter your PIN number wrongly for 3 times.

Then the Phone will request to enter PUK code to reset your PIN number.

You can find your Setar PUK (Personal Unlocking Key) through following methods.

>Find PUK through Helpline

• Call 5834000 (toll free number)  from other network or Setar mobile or landline phone
• Enter the option to speak with customer care
• Request for a PUK code and note it down
• Enter it in your locked Setar mobile phone and reset your PIN number
• Now your phone will be unlocked..

>Retrieve PUK Online

• Go to Setar Home page and click MiSetar . Register and Login with Misetar
• Now , Click on the Account management option and look for PUK number information.

>Welcome mail /SMS option

If you have welcome mail that you got when buying the Setar sim card, you can directly note the PUK code printed in the mail and enter it in your locked mobile phone.
Currently Setar mobile do not provide option for obtaining PUK code through SMS.

So, Please try any one of the above methods to retrieve you PUK code.

Maximum Limit for PUK code entering is 10 attempts. Then the SIM be be blocked and need to replace with anew SIM card . So better be careful while entering PUK code

Nawras ( Ooredoo Oman ) : Know PUK code | SIM Unlock | PIN code Reset

To get or recover PUK code for Nawras SIM card ( Ooredoo Oman):

Entering 3 times PIN code wrongly in Nawras SIM card will result in SIM lock and the phone will ask to enter PUK code.



Method 1 : Through Online :

1. Go to Official website of Nawras  .
2.  Click the MyAccount application Support section. 
3. Now, once you login , you can view your PUK information available in Account management page.

Method 2 : From SIM card holder

If you have the sim card holder, then you are lucky. You can find the PUK number for you Nawras / Ooredoo Oman SIM card printed on your SIM card holder or SIM pack.
Either you can refer , if you have received any welcome mail at the time of buying new SIM card.

Method 3 : Through Helpline:

The last but best way is to contact the Digi helpline number.

• From an Nawras or Ooredo mobile number, dial the toll free number 1500 .
• You will be asked for your PIN number. After that,  In the IVR menu . Select 1 then 5 then 2
• Your PUK code will be informed. Note it down and enter it in your locked mobile phone to unlock the sim card.

 If you don't remember you PIN code or you don't have Nawras mobile number, then dial  (+968) 9501 1500 from any other number and request for the PUK code number.

After you enter your PUK number, you have to reset a new four digit PIN number.
