In common every mobile networks provide the SIM cards equipped with a PIN code and PUK code by default for security reasons. After three incorrect attempts of PIN code , the SIM card will be locked and you need to enter PUK code for unlock the SIM and reset the PIN number. If you enter the PIN code wrongly for three times, your phone or SIM will be locked and ask for a PUK code. Entering PUK code wrongly for ten times will result in permanent block of the SIM.
